Rainbowmobile is the online shop of Rainbow Mobile Co., Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16697419). We sell refurbished, network-unlocked iPhones, AirPods and a small range of accessories to customers in the UK and Europe.

Our team has worked in phone refurbishment since 2010. For most of that time we supplied refurbished phones to other businesses as a wholesaler. In 2022 we started selling to consumers on large online marketplaces such as Back Market, and in 2026 we opened Rainbowmobile as our own shop, so we can offer the same phones directly, with our own warranty and returns.

Why is there “hk” in our web address?

We are a UK company with a base in Hong Kong. Rainbow Mobile Limited (彩虹科技貿易有限公司) is our company in Hong Kong, and our Hong Kong warehouse is where every phone is tested before it is listed. You buy from Rainbow Mobile Co., Ltd in the UK, which handles your order, your warranty and your returns.

Where do our phones come from?

We buy phones from refurbishment factories in mainland China and from wholesalers in Hong Kong and elsewhere in Asia. Whatever the source, every phone goes through our own warehouse in Hong Kong before it is listed for sale.

How we check every phone

Testing, grading and battery work are done by our own team at the Hong Kong warehouse, not left to the supplier. Before a phone is listed, we:

• test calls, the cameras, the buttons, charging and wireless connections;
• measure battery health: every phone ships with at least 85% unless the product page says otherwise. When a battery is below that standard, we replace it with a new battery that is not made by Apple;
• check the cosmetic condition: every iPhone we sell is Premium grade – near-mint, with very light or no visible marks. The grade describes how the phone looks, not how it works;
• reset the phone to factory settings, with all previous data erased, and check that it is network-unlocked, so it works with your own SIM.

Replacement parts

Refurbishing sometimes means replacing parts. Your phone may have a replacement battery, screen or housing, and replacement parts are not always made by Apple. On many iPhone models, Settings then shows a message that a part is not a genuine Apple part (under Settings → General → About). Every phone passes the same checks before it is sold and is covered by the same 12-month warranty, whatever parts it has.

Why do some orders ship from Hong Kong?

We keep stock in two places: our UK warehouse in Surbiton and our Hong Kong warehouse, where the phones are tested. Orders are dispatched within 1 working day, by tracked and insured delivery.

• UK orders from our UK warehouse: usually delivered within 1–3 working days of dispatch.
• UK orders from our Hong Kong warehouse: usually delivered within 5–10 working days of dispatch.
• Orders to other countries: usually delivered within 3–10 working days of dispatch, depending on the destination.

For UK orders, the price you pay includes all taxes. If your parcel comes from Hong Kong, we handle the import duties and taxes, so there is nothing extra to pay on delivery. For orders outside the UK, local import duties or taxes may apply and are paid by the customer. See our shipping policy for details.

Warranty and returns

• 30-day returns: you can ask to return a phone for any reason within 30 days of delivery, with free tracked returns.
• 12-month warranty: if a hardware fault appears within 12 months of delivery, we repair, replace or refund the phone. This includes the battery if its health falls below 80% during that time.
• Your legal rights: our warranty and returns are in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Accidental damage, drops and liquid damage are not covered, and some conditions apply to returns. Please read our refund policy for the full terms.
