Every refurbished iPhone we sell is Premium grade: near-mint, with very light or no visible marks. Refurbished AirPods can also be Excellent, Good or Fair – each listing shows the grade. A grade describes how a device looks, not how it works; every device is workshop tested and covered by our returns and warranty.

What each grade means for how a device looks. Every iPhone we sell is Premium.
Premium
Near-mint cosmetic condition. Very light or no visible marks. Every iPhone we sell is this grade.
Excellent
Light cosmetic wear – small marks or faint scratches that do not affect daily use. Refurbished AirPods only.
Good
Moderate cosmetic wear. Fully tested and good value. Refurbished AirPods only.
Fair
More noticeable cosmetic wear, at the lowest price. Refurbished AirPods only.
How we test every phone
We check every function before dispatch, whatever the grade. Each phone is also cleaned, data-wiped and reset to factory settings.
We make a test call to check the earpiece, microphone and loudspeaker, and that the phone connects to the mobile network.
We take a photo with each rear camera and the front camera and check that it focuses and the picture is clear.
The side button, volume buttons and Ring/Silent switch (or Action button on newer models) must all respond.
The phone must charge through its Lightning or USB-C port.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must connect, and the phone must charge on a wireless charger.
We check the display for picture faults, and touch must respond across the whole screen.
Face ID or Touch ID must set up and unlock the phone.
Proximity, ambient light and motion sensors must respond.
We check every phone’s IMEI: it must not be blacklisted or reported lost or stolen.
Battery health standards
Minimum standards before any phone leaves our workshop.
All phones ship with at least 85% battery health unless stated otherwise on the product page.
If a phone’s original battery is below 85%, we fit a new third-party (non-Apple) battery before the phone is listed.

Every iPhone we sell is Premium. For refurbished AirPods, choose Excellent if you want them to look close to new; Good and Fair show more wear and cost less.
